Guests plunged into the atmosphere and life of different epochs for one day, witnessed the large-scale battles and learned how the ancient Rusich, Japanese samurai, Napoleon officers and soldiers of the Red Army lived. This year, the festival gathered more than 40,000 guests from fifty regions of Russia and the near abroad, according to NGS. “We are the largest beyond the Urals, this is already one of the ‘postcards’ of the region,” says project leader Alexei Rogalyov with pride. The main show of the event is historical reconstruction, but festival guests have seen the other entertainments: they could participate in the making of dishes and clothing of their ancestors, learn how to shoot from homemade weapons, try on armor. Or just do selfie with the character they liked.
